I believe in creating wealth, not just financial wealth, but wealth of spirit, wealth of friendships, wealth of experience. These aspects of wealth are primary.
Though you might be tempted to say that having a fat wallet helps achieve this “real” wealth, it’s the other way around.
Having a bright spirit, many friends, and rich experiences, though in themselves is not enough to attain financial wealth, they do keep the door open to gaining financial wealth. Every aspect of happiness is a builder of true wealth.
The reason that people primarily measure wealth with gold has to do, believe it or not, with our God-given blessing as human beings. Inherent in the human mind is a desire to live in a good environment, to improve the world, and to benefit others.
To do all these things as a measure of your wealth, it usually takes some kind of gold. Like you, fundamentally, I want the wealth of life measured by joy, friendship, and discovery… and the wealth of deep pockets.
To have it all, my philosophy about wealth really goes like this: “The journey is as fun as the destination.”
Wealth is not just for later, nor is it measured only in gold. It’s measured in having a living spirit, having people to love and be loved by, and having the ability to go places and do things.
Now, if you stick with me, we’ll get there. I have complete confidence.
